ESPONTrain «Establishment of a transnational ESPON training programmeto stimulate interest to ESPON2013 knowledge» 10 ESPON countries, 6 majorthematicteachingpackages ( TTPs)
Two target groups The trainees should be identified for the two target groups: Group 1 ( 2-3/2011):policy makers, government officials, staff of local/regional authorities involved in spatial planning, regional and urban development etc Group 2 (5-6/2-11): postgraduate students and young researchers/professionals from the field of geography, spatial planning, regional and urban development, engineering, environmental economics etc.

Ourmainconcernsandachievements • firstofall, toreconcilenationaldiversitieswith a European-wideandfullytransnationalapproach, whichisbesidesoneofourmajorgoals • second, tocreate a highlyinnovative, flexible, user-friendly, easytomanageandinteractiveESPON e-learning process( focusingonthecasestudies’ partofoureducationalmodelandthepolicyimplications) soastobeanefficientbackgroundto a broaderESPON Virtuallearningenvironment ( VLE) inthefuture • LastbutnotleasttocreatesynergieswithotherTNAs ( e.gusing the INTERSTRAT’s workshops material, whichreflects interactions with stakeholders and policy makers of all levels and will be helpful to better understand policy implications of the ESPON findings.
