MAA Update – Effort Reporting • New Effort Reporting Certificate Program Launches in July • MAA will begin Certificate in Effort Reporting program July 2014 • Applicable to departmental staff who have completed the 3 basic introductory effort classes and 5 of 7 “Beyond the Basics Modules” • Will issue Advanced Certificate in Effort Reporting upon completion of the remaining 2 modules (K Awards and Salary Cap) • Will credit department staff for classes taken prior to launch of the program back to November 2011 • Questions regarding the certificate program or other effort reporting issues should be directed to efecs@u.washington.edu
MAA Update – Recharge Centers • New Quarterly Reports • Available on MAA’s website under “Forms/Templates” (http://f2.washington.edu/fm/maa/recharge/templates) • Includes link to tutorials which are now posted • Reflects new accrual section • Inclusion of detailed accruals now required • Encourage use of new template but acknowledge may not fit everyone’s situation
MAA Update – F&A Prop0osal • Continuing to work on F&A proposal • Goal - submit as complete a proposal as possible to external consultant 7/9/14 • Critical need from departments is their space information • Presently establishing meeting times next week with select departments for MAA and consultant to review space data • Previously met with several other departments to review their space • Have sent (or in process of sending) them updated space data for confirmation • Urge departments to confirm data as quickly as possible so we can meet 7/9/14 goal • Most critical element of the F&A proposal
