FutureOcular ResearchCreativityEvent • FORCE is an annual competition in the field of contact lenses, pitching the very best students from European universities and colleges against one another. • The aim is to inspire and stimulate students to become even better and to help them create a professional knowledge base for their future careers. • CooperVision wishes you good luck!

  3. The competition 2012/2013 in Iberia (Spain and Portugal together) • The competition is only for First degree students in Optometry in Spanish and Portuguese universities. • The work must be about Multifocal Soft Contact Lenses • The student must present a paper and a video of 10 minutes explaining the work in English.

  4. The student winner from each university in Iberia will get a tablet 16Gb

  5. The student winner of the Iberia final will get: 2.000 €

  6. The student winner of the Iberia final will get: 2.000 € and… A trip to the European Final in CooperVision’s facilities in French Riviera, Nice March 22nd – 24th 2013

  7. University student winner of the Iberia final will get an Optimec Chiltern: Chiltern of Optimec: The design brief being to manufacture an extremely accurate instrument for BCOR (Base curve) and DIAMETER measurement with surface and edge inspection facilities. Excellent projection lens acuity gives very clear imaging of the edge and surfaces of the contact lens under examination.

Dates October 1st 2012 -- Start the competition January 24th 2013 -- The students must submit their work to the FORCE coordinator at their respective universities February 7th 2013 -- The coordinator must decide the winner of each university and report to CooperVision Iberia February 11th 2013 -- The coordinator receive the papers for evaluation. (Only the coordinators of universities which have presented papers will be involved in the evaluation process) February 26th 2013 -- The coordinator must send his votes to CooperVision (5 points the best, 3 points the second, 1 point the third) February 28th 2013 -- The winner of the Iberian Peninsula will be announced by CooperVision March 22nd – 24th 2013-- European Final in CooperVision’s facilities in French Riviera, Nice October 23rd-26th , 2013--American Academy Optometry 2013 Seattle
