The general rule is…….. • To apply for a Level 3 course you will need: • English, Maths or Science at C grade or above • You will need a B or above in English, Maths or Science if you want to study them at A level. (this may apply to other subjects as well – check with the colleges) • You will need at least a total of 5 different subjects at C or above • Any BTECs you are doing will have to be a Merit or Distinction grade

22. The general rule is…….. • To apply for a Level 2 course you will need: • Usually either English, Maths or Science at D grade • Also at least 3 other GCSEs at D-E grade • Any BTECs at PASS grade • Excellent attendance record from school • Positive attitude and a commitment to learning in an Interview

Work / Volunteering 14 & 15 year olds: • 3 hours a day (not before 7am after 7pm) • 18 hours a week maximum • 8 hours a day at weekends 16 & 17 year olds (once left school): Sixteen- and 17-year-olds may be employed for unlimited hours in any occupation other than those declared hazardous by the Secretary of Labour.
