Cluster data sets

This document provides an overview of the Cluster Data Disposition System (CDDS), Raw Data Media (RDM) distribution methods, Cluster Science Data System (CSDS), and Cluster Active Archive (CAA) discussed at the EFW Meeting in Uppsala on May 18-19, 2006. It includes details on data access, distribution, and management for the Cluster mission's scientific data.

CDDS Cluster Data Disposition System • At ESOC, Darmstadt • Restricted access • Intended for quick-look and health monitoring • All WEC data regularly distributed to: Uppsala, Oslo, Berkeley, Orleans, Velizy, ESTEC, and Sussex • There are some missing and truncated files EFW Meeting, Uppsala, 18-19 May 2006

  4. RDM on CD-ROM Raw Data Media • Official source of Cluster raw data • CD-ROMs sent from ESOC to all Co-I institutes • 1-3 CD-ROMs per day • Distribution ended 1 Jan 2006 EFW Meeting, Uppsala, 18-19 May 2006
