Recipe for a Healthier Lifestyle Six Steps taken to Plan this Project • 1) Developed a nutritional topic based on our health and nutritional literacy studies. • 2) Decided on a comprehensive final product that could be used by all members of the class • 3) Involved a Professional Organization with a 6 week Nutritional classes from the UF Extension Program
Recipe for a Healthier Lifestyle Six Steps taken to Plan this Project continued: • 4) Identified and organized major learning resources with UF Extension program, Winn Dixie grant and other guest speakers • 5) Coordinated time frames that included; breaking into groups, deciding on recipes, researching how to cut the calories and fat intake, shopping and cooking • 6) Project presentation – FIESTA! Oral description of changes made to make theirrecipes healthier
