  2. Introduction • My name is Sherry Crysup. I am the TDI Electronic Information Resource (EIR) Accessibility Coordinator and also the ITS/Applications Accessibility Coordinator. I have been ITS/Applications Accessibility Coordinator since September 1, 2005. I was appointed officially TDI EIR Accessibility Coordinator on June 30, 2009.

  4. Available SortSite Options • Standard License – only one user and unable to export reports to Excel and Word. • Professional License –allows export reports to Excel and Word. Also can either be a fix or floating. • Suite License – gives all the above plus allows you to create visual site maps. • Online subscription – this is limited by the number of pages you review.

The SortSite product TDI selected • TDI’s choice was a mixture with five fix professional suite and five floating professional. • One of the fixed licenses was use one for a report pc which generates the schedule reports. • The other fixed licenses was for the Webmasters and EIR coordinator. • Last year TDI purchase the five floating licenses for developers so they can use while creating pages.

SortSite is more than an Accessibility Checker • Errors • Broken links • Server Configurations • ASP, ASP.net and PHP script errors • Internet Request for comments (RFCs) • Accessibility • Section 508 • WCAG1.0 and WCAG2.0 with priority AAA • Compatibility • Shows browser-specific behavior, and trigger browser bugs • It doses five different browsers with different versions • iOs, Android, Blackberry • Privacy • US-CAN-Spam Act 2003 • EU Privacy Regulations 2003 • Search • Best practices • Guideline issues for 3 top search engines • Robots.txt • Standards • W3C Standards to include HTML/XHTML, CSS, Style, Deprecated features • Usability • Readability • Indicate navigation problems for all users

  7. SortSite Setup • SortSite follows the very basic installation of software. • After installed it has only two places to update. • Options • Rules SortSite Setup

  8. SortSite Reports • Reports are understandable. • Reports can be auto or manually generated. • Scripts can be setup to let a report do page checks requiring information such as a login. SortSite Scheduler Setup

Using SortSite Reports • Reports can be made available on the intranet to view. • Each area is responsible to review reports and fix any issues. • TDI has a check list for public pages for areas to use. • Webmaster sends out an email to all of the Webteam members when reports have been updated.
