Our world view of generosity is often skewed due to concerns about population growth and limited resources. As image bearers of God, we are called to reflect His immense grace and abundance in all areas of life. This includes giving generously to those in need, forgiving liberally, offering apologies freely, helping others abundantly, and sharing our time willingly. This reflects the pattern seen in God's provision from creation to the church's beginnings. By embodying this generosity, we fulfill God's intended purpose for His image-bearers to love and give as He does.

Our world view of generosity is skewed • Skewed in a world with concerns about: • Ever increasing population. • Limited resources. • This worldview shapes: • Decisions about attaining and maintaining what we have, could have, or don’t have. • Who we share with; what we share; how much we share.
Remember,We are image bearers of our God • As God graciously and abundantly gives us: • “Exceedingly abundantly above all we ask…” Eph 3:20 • And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that… you will abound in every good work. 2 Co. 9:8 • This is how we learn to reflect God’s image (and as we’ve seen in the life of Jesus)… in all aspects of our life.
Notice the Pattern • In the beginning: God provides abundantly for man in creation, then charges man to live abundantly. Gen 1:28-30 • Israel’s beginning: God abundantly provides for His new nation; provides laws of generosity. Lev 25:35-37 • The church’s beginning: God abundantly provides for His church; church lives generously. Eph 4:7-16; Acts 2:43-47
So, whatever our endeavor2 Corinthians 9 • Giving generously to saints in need. • Be liberal in forgiveness… like God. • Be free in offering apologies. • Be abundant in helping others. • Be quick to share your time This is what God intended for His image-bearers.
Love Gives For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
