Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program (SWVPP) – 2007 • The purpose of this preschool program legislation is to provide an opportunity for all four-year-old children in the state of Iowa to enter school ready to learn. • The SWVPP is only reaching only about 50% of the 4-year-olds in the Quad Cities. • Trinity Lutheran and SWVPP • 2008 – 17 students • 2013 – 67 students (72 available spots) EQUIPPING FAMILIES TO GROW IN CHRIST AT HOME AND GO IN SERVICE TO THE WORLD

What does this mean for Trinity? • School Year 2013-2014 • 102 preschool students • 75% of our preschool families use one or two of these funding sources. • 40% of families are unchurched • 51% of students have not been baptized • These sources of funding are a blessing not only to these families, but also to us! The funding provides the opportunity for us to share the love of Christ.

  36. Classrooms needed just to cover current K-8th Growth Seven more classrooms in the next 7 years This model does not allow for growth in preschool or early childhood programs. The reality is that we had a waiting list for preschool that could have easily supported another classroom and teacher.

Humbly Ask… • For guidance as decisions about the future are made • For renewed commitment • For the Holy Spirit to keep Satan at bay • For continued opportunities to share the Gospel • ?? Prayers
