  3. PM Task Force • Began 7/21/2010 • 18 Members/Institutional Representation • Objective: To evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of the PM process at TTUHSC to better align the process with overall institutional success.

  4. PM Task Force • Outcomes: • Evaluate the current state of the TTUHSC Staff PM process and identify opportunities for process improvement • Research and identify PM processes and best practices in higher education and private industry that could address areas identified for improvement and/or enhance the overall effectiveness of the TTUHSC PM process

  5. PM Task Force • Proposed Timeline: • 7/21/10: Initial Task Force Meeting • July-Aug 2010: Data Collection and Analysis • Sep-Nov 2010: Formulate Proposed Changes • Nov-Dec 2010: Present Proposal • Dec 2010: Finalize Changes • Jan 2010: Roll-Out New/Revised PM Program

  6. New HR Training Courses • Being Rolled-Out: • Discipline and Documentation Training • Maneuvering Though the Immigration Maze • Understanding Leave Categories and How to Report Work Hours • FMLA/SLP • Conflict Resolution for Managers

  7. New HR Training Courses • On the Horizon: • PDQ and Performance Standards • Faculty Recruitment • Staff Recruitment Check the TTUHSC Announcement Page and Training and Staff Development website at: http://www.ttuhsc.edu/hr/Training for course schedules.

  8. HRIS • Banner is upgrading to Banner 8.3 this weekend. Not a big change but will improve ePaf processing! • ePaf deadline change for September, Sept 15th • Remember that recurring special pays (overloads: ADC, SPA) will not move forward through Salary Planner. You must process a new ePaf for FY11 for these payments. Please start these ePafs after 8/15 and in time for the September 15th deadline.

  9. HRIS • Looking ahead: In the fall a new look and feel to Self Service Banner! Watch for announcements. • Holiday Comp: Use it or lose it. Stops accruing at 24 hours.

  10. Annual Enrollment This is the last week for employees to make changes to their ERS insurance plans. Last day to go online to make a change is by 7:00 PM, July 30th. Even HR benefits coordinators cannot make annual enrollment changes after July 30th!

  11. EOPS • Good bye Multipurpose One Time Payment paper form… • Hello Employee One Time Payment System! • It is online! • No new concepts! • User friendly! • Very intuitive! • Online approving! • Online approval tracking!

  12. EOPS • In production August 30th, 2010 • For payments with September payrolls, FY 11 funds • No paper will be accepted • Deadline normally mirrors ePaf, for September monthly will be Sept 15th.

  13. EOPS • Come to demonstration classes: • Thursday, August 5, 9:30 am CT • Thursday, August 12, 2:30 pm CT • Broadcast to Amarillo, El Paso, Odessa, Pyramid

  14. Other Updates • Background Checks • Effective 9-1-2010, all staff and faculty must have a background check completed through the HireRight system prior to start date. • TechJobs • Watch for information and training as TechJobs will have an upgrade this fall!
