Classroom Organization and Management • Create semi-permanent teams for class activities and management • Use partner and small group activities • Be consistent in discipline and reward • Keep an ‘English Zone’ in the class • Routine can be helpful but occasional surprises keep students from becoming bored.

Teaching English Through English • Train your students to respond to your English commands from the first day. • Make sure to use English that is clear and at the appropriate level. • Provide a written or demonstrated action so that students can understand your spoken explanations. • Write notes in your lesson plan on the English that you want to use in class.
