Childhood 1. Carl Edward Sagan was born on November 9th , 1934, in New York City 2. By age nine he was an amateur astronomer 3. At age twelve he announced to his grandfather his intention to become an astronomer.4. The family later moved to Rahway, New Jersey, where Carl graduated from high school in 19515. He received a bachelor of arts degree with special honors in the natural sciences in 1954 From College.
Dr. Carl Sagan was a very famous astronomer. Many people around the world knew him because he wrote books and was often on television. The movie "Contact" was based on a book written by Dr. Sagan and his wife. Dr. Sagan's television series "Cosmos" was seen by more than 500 million people.
What he did to impact the world • He helped make science easy to understand with the TV show “Cosmos” which aired on “PBS “stations in the 1980s. He wrote books about science like….. Cosmos, The Comet, The Demonhaunted World, Pale Blue Dot One of his books: Pale Blue Dot
