  1. 6thGrade

  2. All 6th graders will be enrolled in a math, science, social studies, and language art class • All 6th graders need to choose one of the following electives • Band- please choose an instrument you would like to play • Music/art • Choir

  3. All 6th graders will be required to take a P.E. class.

  4. All 6th graders need to choose ONE of the following electives:Band – Please choose an instrument you would like to play – trumpet, baritone, trombone, French horn, etc.Music/ArtChoir

  5. 6th graders are enrolled at Houston, Highland, or Heizer Middle Schools based on the information in the computer system at their elementary schools. We ask all parents/guardians to verify and/or update address information with their students’ elementary schools to insure that they receive their schedules.

  6. The students will be receiving a schedule by mail prior to the beginning of the 2013 school year in August.

  7. If a student does Not live in the school district they wish to attend, an out-of-zone form must be filled out and completed online, beginning April 1, 2013. This form is available on the Hobbs Schools website http://www.hobbsschools.net

  8. If a student receives a schedule from the wrong middle school, two (2) proofs of address must be provided to the office of the school from which the schedule was received.

  9. We are very excited about our upcoming 6th graders, and we look forward to successful year!
