Overview • History • 2006 LEARN Regional Resource Sharing • 2009 Norwich BOE discussion • In response to projected budget cuts • Regionalize Education Resources • Objective • Identify cost saving measures through inter-district collaboration and legislative support • Results • Recommendations from multiple city and town leaders, creating legislative action

  3. Project Work 1st meeting (Local government and BOE) • Identified cost savings ideas • Calendar, Transportation, Pooling of insurances etc. • Brought back for local review 2nd meeting (Local government and BOE) • Triaged and prioritized • Scheduled meeting inviting state and local politicians

Final Presentation Kelly Middle School April 10, 2010 • Attendees • Accomplishments in 2 months • Common PD scheduling, calendar, curriculum & assessment development, extended year program discussion. • Identified Targeted Topics • Transportation (target-calendar) • Health Insurance • Special Education
