  2. Corporate Sponsorship • A form of marketing in which a corporation pays for all or some of the costs associated with a project or program in exchange for recognition.

  3. Sponsor Benefits • It can enhance a company’s image and visibility • If the sponsorship are well conceived and strategy, they can boost sales • Help develop a close relationship (UB students)

  4. Criteria • Relevant- the cause must be relevant to the company's products or service • Branding Fit- there must be a good fit with the overall company brand • Mission Alignment- the partnership must align with a company's mission • Business Result- the company must believe it can achieve some measurable business result through the partnership

  5. DOs and DON’Ts DO DON’Ts Using their competitor's products Don’t always ask for money • Find out what they care • Keep it SHORT • Ask them what will make them feel satisfied • Consider Donation • Building a long-term relationships

  6. Who to Contact? • Marketing- is the process used to determine what products or services may be of interest to customers, and the strategy to use in sales, communications and business development • Public Relations- promoting goodwill between itself and the public, the community, employees, customers, etc.

  11. Purpose AKPsi Annual Charity Event • Attracts Sponsors that focus on simply having a Good Feeling, not just some Tangible Assets in return • By having it Annually, so we can be recognize or known for • we gain a positive reputation

  12. Example from Coca-Cola • “Coca-Cola cares about the welfare of animals and supports their proper treatment.” • If we are known for being involve with the Animal Charity Humane Society, there will be a higher chance of having Coca-Cola as one of our sponsor
