  4. CK is defined by traditional scientific content, movement content, team sports, life-time sports • PCK is defined by Model-Based Instruction (MBI) • All HPE faculty support MBI as our PCK CK and PCK in GSU HPETE

  5. Intro to MBI as students in team sports, lifetime sports, health classes • Teaching skills for MBI in Intro. Pedagogy course (KH 3200) • 4-course “block” to learn MBI for elementary, secondary, APE, health • MBI required for all student teaching units • 2 in-depth MBI units (aka, “Models Projects”—today’s topic) • ST chooses each model, but cannot be Direct Instruction Learning MBI in GSU HPETE

  7. Models Projects: 5 year Period

  8. Written Projects are typically 50-100 pages. • Once turned in (and assessed), projects are scanned into shared drive • Videos are also submitted

  9. Program assessment and decision-making • Program accreditation reviews (PCK standards and artifacts) • Student portfolios for interviews • Research on learning MBI (JTPE Monograph 2008) • Teaching resources for MBI courses in the program • Resources for 2012 MBI Workshop at GSU • New ideas for new editions for IMPE book!
