  3. Business Model • Reach young people who previously had no exposure to the game • Provide consistent and affordable access • Create local ownership of the program • Create public involvement while developing public and private partnerships • Position golf as more than a game

Significant Achievements 1997-2005 • Introduced the game of golf and its values to over 675,000 young people in 44 states and 5 international locations, including Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and Singapore • Opened 253 golf-learning facilities with 21 facilitiesin development • Established over 680 affiliate relationships with existing golf courses for further access to the game • Developed Life Skills Education curriculum • Roll out of The First Tee National School Program

The FOCUS of The Scholars Programis to continue to have a positive impact onthe lives of The First Tee participants by encouraging them to seek advanced educational opportunities. “SCHOLAR” – A First Tee Scholar exhibits leadership and abundant community service, along with academic excellence, while continuing to contribute to their local Chapter of The First Tee through mentoring and/or tutoring opportunities.
