  2. Bahamas History • The settlement of man on the islands doesn’t begin with Columbus in the year 1492, but actually the arawaks where the first in habitant in the Bahamas. They were a self colony until 1717 and then after that they were granted self-government in 1964.

  3. Bahamas geography • The largest city is Nassau with the population of 195,000 people. • The Bahamas are made up of about 700 flat islands in the Atlantic ocean • The Bahamas cost line is 2,201 miles.

  4. Economy and resources • Driven by tourist and financial services. • At the moment Bahamas is experiencing economic downfall. • Some of the natural of the Bahamas are salt, aragonite, timber, wetlands, and freshwater resources.

  5. Government • There are three separate groups in the Bahama government. • There is the executive branch, the legislative branch, and the judiciary branch.
