Currents events on what’s happening TrayvonMartin was an unarmed,17-year-old African American male who was shot and killed in Sanford, Florida on February 26, 2012 by George Zimmerman, a 28-year-old man of mixed ethnic descent of Latin American and White, Martin was walking from a convenience store to the home of his father's fiancée when Zimmerman, a community watch coordinator, began following Martin and called the Sanford Police Department to say he witnessed suspicious behavior.Soon afterward, there was a confrontation that ended when Zimmerman fatally shot Martin. Besides Trayvon family and friends being affected by the situation everyone around the U.S. and in London. Zimmerman who had the gun stated that Trayvon attacked him and broke his nose, but the coroner also states that there were no bruises on Trayvon hands.
