RIGA SHIPYARDGeneral information • RIGA SHIPYARD has a large experience in shipbuilding, ship conversions and ship repairs since 1913, and is one of the largest shipyards in Eastern Baltic region. • In 1998, after an upgrade of the yard’s shipbuilding division to conform Western Europe shipbuilding standards, Riga Shipyard has built and delivered more than 130 hulls of ships of different levels of the outfit in length of 15-80m for Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Finnish customers. • RIGA SHIPYARD operates nine berths having the following properties:

RIGA SHIPYARDGeneral information • Two slip-ways allowing new ship’s hull building and launching of maximum dimension limits 100m x 14m and up to 900 ton of steel weight. • In 2008 two Multipurpose escort turn-key tugboats were delivered by Riga Shipyard with Class notation 1XHULL, XMACH, Escort Tug, Ice Class 1A, Fire fighting ship, AUT – UMS, Oil recovery ship. • In 2008 RIGA SHIPYARD entered aluminium hulls market, and since 2008 has begun to work on SWATH 25m type patrol vessels building project. Production is planned to commence in July, 2010. • RIGA SHIPYARD provides the following shipbuilding works in its premises: • steel hull building, • hull outfitting, • manufacturing and installation of Stainless Steel parts, • aluminium hulls and/or superstructures, masts, • foundations, • shotblasting, metalizing and painting, • manufacturing and/or installation of propulsion and steering equipment, rudders and bow thrusters, • putting equipment into a hull, • installation of pins for insulation matts.

Riga Shipyard’s Testing Laboratory has been recognized by BUREAU VERITAS as per Rule Note NR320 for tests, examinations, dectections and analysis. Riga Shipyard being an international port unit, Riga Free Port, strictly follows requirements of International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS)and ISPS Code. 2011
