Finland’s Disability Policy Programme 2010–2015 • outlines the concrete disability policy actions • 14 content areas, 122 concrete measures • developing all the relevant policy sectors from the perspective of the rights, freedoms and equal opportunities of persons with disabilities. Disability Policy Programme main objectives • Preparation and implementation of the legislative amendments necessitated by the ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities • Improving the socioeconomic status of persons with disabilities and combating poverty • The availability and high quality of special services and support measures will be ensured across the country 4. Accessibility in society will be strengthened and increased 5. Finland’s Disability Policy (2010-2015) • With regard to each measure, examined:administrative sector responsible for implementation, • timetables, financial needs, obligations • an indicator by which the implementation of the measure is followed Pirkko Mahlamäki
Passenger rights in various traffic forms (example air traffic) Measure 51. The functioning of rights and of assistance concerning air traffic shall be ensured nationally; national implementation and co-ordination of the Regulation on the rights of disabled passengers. Practical realization of the assistance requirements are monitored nationally.
