experiences • initial project (start november 2002): • low income neighbourhood, 10.000 people • two social ‘inspirators’ • tools allow anyone free site in 4 clicks • working in ‘digital livingroom’
results (1) • more social activities, stronger participation • better knowledge of local activities • more contact between initiators • 1500 websites, 10.000 visits a year, 800 users, • 100 people core group • (including 43 organisations)
results (2) • computer literacy and skills • training e-society in daily life • employability • stimulate userbase • for content en services
results (3) • extended to 2 other cities • 8 neighbourhoods (80.000 inhabitants) • future participation of more cities • developed and described method • software applications • new opportunities for social workers
