Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo He was born in Venice, Italy on august 30, 1727 Died March 3, 1804 Painter and print maker in etching His father taught him everything he knew about painting By age 20, he was creating his own paintings and selling them Developed style of painting in 1770, after the death of his father Worked in Venice, Genoa, and Padua Had 104 sketches of Punchinello; a deformed clown who performed comedy His drawings were mostly with ink wash Some of his artwork is located in Sydney, Australia; University of Texas, Austin; and Madrid
