What is twitter? • Twitter is a social networking and blogging site that allows users to post a 140 character post, which is called a tweet. • It was founded in March, 2006. • Twitter is one of the ten most-visited websites, and has been described as "the SMS of the Internet.” • Twitter Inc. is based in San Francisco and has offices in New York City, Boston, San Antonio and Detroit. • Some of it’s competitors are Facebook, Instagram, and Vine.

  3. Mission Statement • The mission we serve as Twitter, Inc. is to give everyone the power to create and share ideas and information instantly without barriers. Our business and revenue will always follow that mission in ways that improve–and do not detract from–a free and global conversation.

  4. Company overview • The past year has seen torrid growth, transforming Twitter from a geeks-only tool into a worldwide phenomenon. • Twitter has maintained a good profit margin, they have grown from 50% to nearly 60% in just 5 months. • We could not find any evidence of the company having any debt.

  5. longevity and working environment • Twitter is expected to last a long time, because it is not only popular with young adults, it is also extremely popular with adults and many businesses. • Based on current employees, Twitter is a fun and exciting place to work. It offers many amenities and has a laid back working environment. • Twitter is currently selling stock at $45.48 a share.

  6. Financial situation • According to research, twitter is financially sound because we could not find anything on their debt, and they are growing at a very rapid speed.
