Create Microsoft Word processing documents following specific written directions
Create PowerPoint slide show using toolbars, inserting textboxes, pictures, and formatting slides
Create slides for a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation using Internet resources
Create Paint document using a tool palette; edit, save, and insert into Word or PowerPoint document
Create various spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel enter values, labels, formulas, and create a graph from data
Create a Microsoft Access database; edit, sort, format and create labels, etc.
Save and retrieve information appropriately from personal folder or web
Use free downloadable software and web 2.0 tools when appropriate to enhance learning
Scratch – animation program • Audacity – Sound Recorder – maximum of 8 overlapping sounds • Tux Type/Paint • Google • Earth – virtual 3 D map of Earth • Docs - offer free use of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software (only for students with email address)
