  2. Aleksey Mendez has a commendable, well-diversified portfolio that speaks volume. He has an impeccable experience in Behavior-Based Safety, Workers Compensation Claim Management, EMR oversight and Root Cause Analysis and investigation of events leading to work injuries. 2

  3. Sosepriala Dede earned his degree in Mathematics Education and received the Joan Jacobs Award as the top scholar in the entire School of Education. He spent the early years of his career teaching mathematics, coaching various sports, and leading at Ben Davis High and Chapel Hill 7th and 8th Grade Center in Indianapolis, IN. 3

  4. SoSo Dede earned his Master’s Degree in Education Administration, in the Urban Principal Leadership Program from Indiana University. He took on his first school leadership position with Tindley Accelerated Schools as an assistant principal, overseeing the school as it reached unparalleled academic success and one of the best schools in the nation at closing the academic achievement gap for minority students. 4

Sosepriala Dede was promoted to the Executive Director of College, Career, and Workforce Development for Gestalt Community Schools, to spearhead an initiative that would assess the city’s economic and academic needs and to design and implement a new innovative state of the art, college and career school model. 5

  6. Currently, Sosepriala Dede is the Founding President/CEO of Gateway University, Schools of Applied Sciences. He also launched Gateway University; the city of Memphis's first career-focused early college high school, in the fall of 2017. 6
