  5. Starting FrontPage and Opening an Existing Web Site • Click the Start button on the taskbar. Point to All Programs on the Start menu • Click Microsoft Office on the All Programs submenu • Click Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003 on the Microsoft Office submenu

  6. Starting FrontPage and Opening an Existing Web Site • Click the Open button arrow on the Standard toolbar • Click Open Site on the Open menu. If necessary, when FrontPage displays the Open Site dialog box, click the Look in box arrow and select the folder location where you stored the Web site for Project 5 (e.g., C:\jkeeler) • Click the Open button

  8. Creating a New Folder in an Existing FrontPage Web Site • With the C:\jkeeler folder selected in the Folder List pane, click the New Folder button in the Folder List pane • Type JobOppsSite as the new folder name and then press the ENTER key

  9. Moving Files and Folders to a New Folder • Click the folder, fpdb, to select it • Hold down the CTRL key and then click each of the files listed in Table 6-1 on page FP 308 to select them • Drag the selected files and folder to the JobOppsSite folder • Release the mouse button

  19. Creating a Hyperlink to the Default Home Page • Right-click the Home button image in the contents frame • Click Hyperlink • When the Insert Hyperlink dialog box is displayed, type ../ in the Address text box • Click Target Frame

  22. Modifying the Database Connection Properties • Click Tools on the menu bar • Click Site Settings • When FrontPage displays the Site Settings dialog box, click the Database tab • Click jobopportunity

Creating Database Editor Pages Using the Database Interface Wizard • Click the Next button • If necessary, click Results Page and Submission Form to deselect them and then click Database Editor to select it • Click the Next button • If necessary, select the default user name, Administrator, and then type jkeeler (you may substitute your own user name here) in the User name text box • Type James (or a password of your choice) in the Password text box

Creating Database Editor Pages Using the Database Interface Wizard • When the Results folder expands, click the plus sign in front of the folder, editor • Click the database_editor.asp tab • Drag the cell border to the right until the title text, Database Editor - Results, is displayed on a single line • Drag the horizontal border between the top and bottom frames down to display more of the page in the top frame, as shown on the following slide

Adding the Database Editor Login Page to the Navigation Structure • Click the Navigation command on the View menu • If necessary, scroll the Folder List pane to display the file, login.asp • Drag the file, login.asp, from the Folder List pane and drop it to the right of the Tutoring Positions page icon in the Navigation pane

Applying a Theme to a Subsite • Click Format on the menu bar • Click Theme • When FrontPage displays the Theme task pane, verify that the parent folder of the subsite is selected in the Folders List pane • If necessary, click Vivid colors • Verify that Active graphics and Background picture are selected

Applying a Theme to a Subsite • If necessary, scroll down the list of themes and then point to Capsules • Click Capsules • When the Microsoft Office FrontPage dialog box appears, click Yes • Click the Close button on the Theme task pane • Click the database_editor.asp tab and, if necessary, readjust cell borders to display the title text on a single line

  37. Modifying a Hyperlink to Link to the Default Home Page • Double-click the home page icon in the Folder List pane • If necessary, scroll the Design view window down until the Job Opportunities link appears • Right-click the hyperlink text, Job Opportunities • Click Hyperlink Properties

  40. Publishing a Parent Web Site and Subsite • Click the Web Site tab • Click the Remote Web site button • Click the Publish Web site button • Click the Yes to All button

  41. Enabling Source Control • Double-click the subsite, JobOppsSite, to open it in a new FrontPage window • Close any pages that are open • Click Tools on the menu bar • Click Site Settings • If necessary, when FrontPage displays the Site Settings dialog box, click the General tab

Enabling Source Control • Click Use document check-in and check-out to select it • Click OK • When the Microsoft Office FrontPage dialog box is displayed, click Yes • Click the Close button on the Microsoft FrontPage window • When FrontPage displays the parent Web site in the Microsoft FrontPage window, close any pages that are open

  45. Checking Out a File Under Source Control • Double-click the file, index.htm, in the Folder List pane • Click Yes in the Microsoft Office FrontPage dialog box

  46. Viewing the Checkout Status Report • Point to the Reports command on the View menu • Point to Workflow • Click Checkout Status • If necessary, scroll down to display the file, index.htm, in the list
