Australia – NZ has the highest per capita membership of any of the region (80 per million) Our bid has the support of the New Zealand Geotechnical Society, and ISSMGE Vice President of Australasia, Professor Michael Davies. Key members of our profession have voiced their support of the bid – Harry Poulos, Max Ervin, Scott Sloan, John Carter and Mark Randolf. Accolades for our high profile Conferences in Australia – GeoEng 2000 and Anz 2012 ICSMGE has never been held in Australia before, despite FIVE previous bids The huge support we can get from sponsors and industry partners
