The evening will be practical, informative and entertaining. The Speaker is Christine Clarke PhD, FRPharms, Independent Pharmacy Consultant. She will identify the essential issues to be addressed in an MUR in this patient population, and highlight the key facts to feedback to the GP. ‘Chronic pain is under-treated and 19% of adults in Europe have suffered moderate to severe pain for 6 months or more. 4,839 respondents were interviewed in depth and 79% said they experience pain from activity and 32% say they cannot tolerate any more. 31% are not being currently treated and only 5% use strong opioids. 40% report inadequate pain control.’ (Breivik, H., Ventafridda, V., and Hill, M.
