Types of Lab Hazards • Biohazard– Things that cause disease; germs; living tissues/medical wastes. • Physical – Things that get in your way; moving things; sharps things. • Chemical– toxic substances; DON’T EAT IN CLASS • Radiation – Not just nuclear; bright light. • Electrical – Appliances in water; frayed wires. • Noise – Cause hearing damage; prevent from hearing instructions. • Animal– They bite, scratch, smell and often taste bad.
