Cultural Competence Respect for differences among population, groups, continuous self-assessment, expansion of cultural knowledge, and attention to the dynamics of difference.

What is Capacity? Capacity = Resources + Readiness • Various types and levels of resources within the county and within an organization, such as a coalition • The county’s level of readiness to engage in and support prevention efforts.
Readiness The county’s willingness to engage in and support prevention efforts as well as the availability of skills and resources within the county.
Resources The various types and levels of support that a county, community, organization, or individual has at their disposal to meet implementation demands. Examples of resources?
