  1. Imagine you are to give a presentation in few days. Would you be nervousness? Most people would. Hence we have put together few tips that will help slash your public speaking fear and anxiety: Being unprepared causes fear in our brain. Being sufficiently prepared gives us a dose of confidence and reduces public speaking dread and anxiety. The professional and experienced speakers use preparation to cut their panic. You can do the same. Prepare a great speech and rehearse it as many times as you can. Whether you are telling a story at a meeting, standing up in a meeting, delivering from the stage, know what you intend to say beforehand. You may not always write out word for word, but at least make sure you know you are going to say.

  2. Set up a mock stage in your living room and deliver a speech to the couch, window, or a TV. It works! Nervousness is reduced and a great speech is prepared. Overcome your fear and reduce your anxiety with this public speaking secret. People fear public speaking because they fear to make mistakes during the speech. However, anxiety only makes it more likely that mistakes will occur. The best way to deal with mistakes is to acknowledge the fact that you are no one is perfect, and mistakes are bound to happen. A practical reason why we are so nervous before the speech is because we visualize the speech, assuming that something awful will happen. So, a great way to deal with our nervousness is to visualize the speech, but this time in an optimistic way.

During the speech, you may take a look at the crowd and see them as a big group of people. That may just end up confusing you. Rather, concentrate on particular faces; you should choose the friendly ones. Move your eyes gradually and look at different people while speaking. It will also make the audience feel that you are conversing with them instead of just giving a speech. It makes you look confident and relaxed. It also gives you time to relax and remember exactly what you had to say. Speaking fast and swallowing words is a blunder done by many speakers. Avoid it at any cost . So, go out there and conquer your fear of public speaking!
