About Us • GagandeepGhuman is the editor of The Squamish Reporter. He graduated from the School of Journalism at Ryerson University in Toronto in 2008. He interned at Toronto Star and Guelph Mercury. Before launching independent newspapers in Squamish and North Shore, he worked briefly at ParksvilleQualicum Beach News and Squamish Chief. As a freelancer, his bylines appeared in Pique Newsmagazine, Tyee, Vancouver Sun and Globe and Mail. He also runs a news portal for Whistler. He has been shortlisted for his investigative stories on Squamish by the Canadian Association of Journalists in 2010, 2011, and 2015 for their annual awards. In 2013, he was also honoured by the Ryerson Journalism Alumni Association as a Headliner — one among the 12 notable alumni who had made a mark in journalism.
