Famous Works Some of his famous works are Four symphonies,a piano concerto, chamber music and music for solo piano. He was also was a writer and published a magazine called Neue Zeitschrift Fur Musik (New Journal for Music). Some of his popular sheet music includes Melody, Humming Song Op 68 No 3 and Soldiers March from Album for the Young.
An Interesting Fact He began to compose by the time he was seven. At school he was really good at music and literature. He entered the Leipzig University.He studied law but continued to study music.When he was in his teens,his father died and his sister committed suicide leaving a huge impact on his life. He fell in love with one of his teacher’s daughter, Clara Wieck who was a great pianist.
