CG Letter • CG Letter will be available to student after earning the required amount of points & submitting application to the music office for approval. • CG Letter Application can be found at www.trojanband.com • Total points needed to earn CG letter 6. Marching Band 2 points Indoor Percussion 2 points World Winter Guard 2 points Jazz Band 1 point Pep Band 1 point JV Winter Guard 1 point

  5. Marching Band • Student will receive 1 pin their first season • Student will receive 1 gold service bar for each season of marching band.

  6. Indoor Percussion & Winter Guard • Student will receive 1 pin their first season Indoor Percussion: Winter Guard: • Student will receive 1 gold service bar for each season of Indoor Percussion or World Winter Guard • Student will receive 1 silver service bar for each season of JV Winter Guard

  7. Jazz Band & Pep Band • Student will receive 1 pin their first season • Student will receive 1 silver service bar for each season of Jazz Band and/or Pep Band.

  8. ISSMA State Solo and Ensemble & IBA All State Band • Students will receive 1 pin per State participation.

FAQs • When will this new award program begin? • The first awards will begin with the 2013 marching band season and will be handed out at the marching band banquet on November 19th. • Do I need to wait to order a letter jacket or banner? • No. You can log on to the website and order at anytime.

  11. FAQs • Can I purchase a jacket or banner before I’ve earned a CG letter? • Yes. It is your choice when and if you purchase a jacket or banner. • You’ll earn pins at the end of the season for several band activities and this would be a great way to display them.

  12. FAQs • What if my child has chevrons already? • You are more than welcome to continue adding chevrons to their jacket. • The Chevrons may be purchased in the music office for $5 each. (1 Chevron for each completed season of marching band.) • Please bring their jacket with chevrons with you so that we can make sure that you get the correct size.

  13. FAQs • How can I get service bars or stars for past years in activities? • They are $2 - $3 each and can be purchased in the music office. • Please complete the Past Awards Order Form that can be found on www.trojanband.com

  14. FAQs • I’ve seen other students with different patches on their jackets. How do I get those? • ISSMA, BOA, IHSCGA, IPA, and WGI all have patches for sale at their contests. • Talk to an upperclassman parent for help in finding these vendors. • Will any patches be provided from these events? • Students will receive a rocker type patch from BOA events. The large event patch is not included though.
