  6. A symphony of Whales FAVORITE CHARACTER Glashka is my favorite character because she heard music in her head. She heard the voice of Narna, the whale.

  7. A symphony of Whales SETTING The story takes place in a village by the frozen ice of the ocean.

  8. A symphony of Whales The Problem The problem was that the Beluga whales were stuck in ice and could not go back out to sea.

  9. A symphony of Whales The Solution Glashka’s father used the emergency radio to call a great Russian icebreaker named the Moskvato break the ice. Once the ice was broken, the whales still would not go out to sea until the captain played classical music for them to follow the ship out to the open ocean.
