Biomedical Applications • Genetic screening • Testing of individuals can now be done, preimplantation or prenatally…and pre/post-symptomatic • Pharmaceuticals • Scientists are beginning to match drugs and dosages to an individual's specific genetic makeup. • Gene Therapy • Allows scientists to insert healthy genes in place of mutated ones.
