  2. The movie set is often closed tight and secured. It’s mandatory for actors and crew to sign non-disclosure agreements. This may be true with Maverick, but photos are out on social media anyway. On Thursday, the actor tweeted a photo of himself as Navy pilot Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in a flight suit, looking at a fighter jet. The photos accompany the phrase “feel the need.” In the first part of the film, Cruise’s character was revolving around, he feels the need for speed. Cruise wrote #Day 1 of production of Top Gun: Maverick. Some of the pics are of course approved like an Instagram slideshow posted to Luke Scott’s account. As Scott is a screenwriter of the movie, Ridley Scott’s son and late Top Gun director Tony Scott’s nephew, seems like he’s not much worried about allowing the fans of the movie (and of Tom Cruise, for that matter) having a little sneak peek behind the scenes.

Top Gun is set to hit the theaters on June 26, 2020.
