  1. Top 4Favourite Ships James King

  2. Celebrity Cruise Line • MS Xpedition is a cruise ship for Celebrity Cruises and the sole ship of the Xpeditionclass. The ship is an alternative to the line's larger ships, offering more personal attention afforded by its smaller size. With the ship's limited capacity of 96 passengers and an active itinerary, it's marketed to a younger and a better educated demographic than the average cruise ship passenger. Her sister ship is cruise ship Sun Bay II. • The ship currently sails to the Galápagos Islands, revisiting the ports of Charles Darwin. The ship's shallow draft allows it to access ports in the region that larger cruise ships cannot visit

  3. Royal Caribbean International • MS Oasis of the Seas is an Oasis-class cruise ship, delivered to its owner, Royal Caribbean International, in October 2009. The first of her class, she was joined by her sister ship MS Allure of the Seas in December 2010. Both vessels cruise the Caribbean from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She set a new record of carrying over 6,000 passengers. • The ship surpassed the Freedom-class cruise ships (also owned by Royal Caribbean) to become the largest cruise ship in the world at that time. She has, however, since been surpassed by Allure of the Seas, which is 50 millimetres (2.0 in) longer, although this difference may have been caused by different temperatures when the measurements were made.

  4. Cunard Cruise Line • RMS Queen Mary 2 is a transatlantic ocean liner. She was the first major ocean liner built since Queen Elizabeth 2 in 1969, the vessel she succeeded as flagship of the Cunard Line. The new ship was named Queen Mary 2 by Queen Elizabeth II in 2004 after the first RMS Queen Mary, completed in 1936. Queen Mary was in turn named after Mary of Teck, consort of King George V. With the retirement of Queen Elizabeth 2 from active duty in 2008, Queen Mary 2 is the only transatlantic ocean liner in line service between Southampton and New York, which operates for part of each year. The ship is also used for cruising, including an annual world cruise.

  5. Princess Cruises • MS Caribbean Princess is a Grand Class cruise ship owned and operated by Princess Cruises, with a capacity of over 3,600 passengers, the largest carrying capacity in the Princess fleet (as of 2011, Royal Princess, another Princess cruise ship, will supersede it in 2013). She has 900 balcony staterooms and a deck of mini-suites. She was the first modern cruise ship with an outdoor theatre, which Princess bills as "Movies Under The Stars“. Caribbean Princess is slightly larger than the other ships in her class (Star Princess, Golden Princess, and Grand Princess), due to the addition of an additional deck of cabins called the Riviera deck. Another difference is that, being initially designed to cruise the Caribbean year-round, there is no sliding roof over the pool area for shelter in poor weather.
