  3. SPARS Training • AQB provides free training and support to Industry and other users for completing the Major Source and Minor Source Inventories • AQB provides free training and support for completing Title V Parts 1 and 2 initial / renewal applications and Construction Permit applications

  4. SPARS Inventories • SPARS should be used to submit information for Emissions Inventory on: • Any Site Subject to Construction Permitting, but not Subject to Title V (Minor Source Emissions Inventories) • Major Source Emission Inventories • Modifications to a Current Inventory

  10. Copy and Reuse Data Function • Reuse an existing Title V Application for creating a Renewal Title V Application • Updates equipment from Administrators • Maintains all Potential data from original Title V • Copies in all Actual data from previous year’s EIQ

Copy and Reuse Data Function • Able to create new Emission Inventories using the previous year’s data as a template • Adds new equipment, maintains existing units, raw materials, operating schedule, emission factors, control values from previous year. • Sets the new inventory’s unit Throughput and Total Emissions to zero

New Feature Benefits • Once initial applications/inventories are completed, no need to re-enter data for points, units, control/monitoring equipment, emission factors, units of measure UNLESS they change between submittals. • Copying and Reusing previous applications and inventories will have significant benefits for industry, cutting application production time dramatically.

Expanded Auto-Calculate Tools • Auto calculation for all sources of Emission Factor EXCEPT Permit, CEM, Other • Use for AP42, Fire, Worksheet, Stack Test, SCC, MSDS, Mass Balance, Tanks • Calculated field IS changeable, make note on Calcs tab for the modified pollutant value • Standardized calculations for non-modified processes, those having no special characteristics • Potentials handled differently than Actual Emissions

  14. Copy Function Example • Movie: Title V Emission Inventory • Uses previous inventory as a template for the new inventory • Update changes to facility in 2003 • Copy data from 2002 to 2003 • Enter throughputs for 2003, will autocalculate new emissions totals

  15. 124 Facilities Used SPARS for the2003 Emission Inventory • Increase of 66 Facilities, doubling the number of Facilities submitting on the SPARS software package over 2002 • SPARS 2002 Fee Emissions : 44,452.33 tons • SPARS 2003 Fee Emissions : 163,719.90 tons

  16. 124 Facilities Used SPARS for the2003 Emission Inventory • 119,267.57 ton increase reported on SPARS represents a268.30% increasein reported emissions over 2002 totals • Fee Emissions for 2003 : 231,876.65 tons • Percentage of the Fee Emissions reported on SPARS :70.6
