  1. Benjamín Bloom

  2. Benjamín Bloom was born on february 21,1913, in Lansford, Pennsylvania. He recived a bachelor and master’s degrees from Pennsylvania State University in 1935 and a PhD in education from the university of chicago in 1940. He was a Jewish-American educational psychologist who made contributions to the classification of educational objectives and to the theory of mastery-learning.

  3. Bloom’s TheoryBloom’s contributions to education extended well beyond the taxonomy. He was fundamentally interested in thinking and its development..

  4. Bloom wanted to reveal what students were thinking when teachers were teaching. He focused more of his research on the study of educational objectives and, ultimately ,proposed that anygiven task favors one of three psychological domains: cognitive, affective , and psychomotor

  6. Psychomotor Domain

  7. The psychomotor domain involves manipulate or physical skills. The skills in the psychomotor domain describe the ability to physically manipulate a tool or instrument like hand or a hammer

  8. The affective Domain

  9. This domain describe the way the people react emotionally and their ability to feel another living things pain or enjoy. There are five levels in the affective domain moving through the lowest order processes to the highest:

  11. Responding

  12. Valuing

  13. Organizing

  14. Characterizing

  15. Cognitive Domain

  16. The skills in the cognitive domain revolved a round knowledge, comprehension and critical thinking of a particular topic. There are six levels in the Taxonomy proving through the lowest order process to the highest.
