(St. Louis, MO – July 13, 2009) – It’s like the Miley Cirus song – “the best of both worlds” seems to be coming true for Dennis Phillips, as he remains out in Las Vegas for the 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) and heading into Day 6 starting at noon – the same day he is to host a private party, the All-Star Celebrity Bash following the Home Run Derby at SLeeK with renowned Chef Hubert Keller. PokerStars Pro, Phillips will ask his guests to donate an item for an upcoming online charity auction in hopes to raise over $250,000 for Phillips’ lead beneficiaries: Multiple Sclerosis Society (MS Society), Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Pujols Family Foundation and Tony LaRussa’s Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF). Wrapping up Day 5 of the WSOP, Phillips finished the day with a little more than $1M chips and only 175 to compete with out of the 6,494 that started. There are two breaks tonight at the WSOP. During 10pm & midnight (CST), the guests of the All-Star Celebrity Bash will have a chance to hear from their host and also have the chance to send him a little bit of ‘white lightening’ his way!
