Content and Skills The Content is the BC Curriculum The Ministry of Education sets the education standards for students in grades K to 12 through the provincial curriculum. These standards are called Prescribed Learning Outcomes (PLOs). PLOs outline the expectations for what students should know and be able to do at each grade and within each subject area.

Recommendations for Parents How can parents support their child? • Ask your child how his/her day went at school • Ask your child what the best idea was that they learned • Ask what the strangest idea was that they learned • Encourage your child to get plenty of sleep • As well, I have a few extra online options to recommend.
