Input • Audio meter • Silicon • Acrylic • Ultraviolet oven • Aluminum • Pewter • Diamond disk saw • Sandpaper • Drill • Battery • Polisher
Process • Level of hearing loss must be measured with an audio meter. • A mold of the ear canal is made with silicon material. • Silicon is poured around the ear canal mold so the acrylic hearing aid can be mad and put into an ultraviolet oven to harden. • The volume control, miniature microphone and the earphone which functions as a speaker, all are soudered together with pewter. • The excess silicon is removed with a diamond disk and is smoothed down with sandpaper. • Holes are drilled to vent air from the earphone and is also used to attach the fastener so the hearing aid can be removed. • The battery is installed then everything is delicately assembled into the interior of the device. • The hearing aid is manually polished to ensure comfort.
Feedback • Hearing aids are manufactured to fit each person specifically and are meticulously built to ensure quality and reliability so they get excellent feedback.
