  6. Telemedicine Functionality: An Overview • Remote Doctor identifies the need of Telemedicine opinion. • Prepares electronic patient for Telemedicine. This includes 1. Patient’s demographical information 2. Patient’s personal and family history 3. Patient’s medical data in form of image, video, special graphical display, audio and report. • Patient’s file is compressed and transferred through various communication media. • The Expert views and interprets medical data. • Expert gives opinion in computerized format. Or do the video conferencing. • Video conferencing: During video conferencing data can be sent to expert. Interactive whiteboard, chat and live medical image conferencing can also be done.
