  4. Red symbolizes blood Green = vegetation of Africa Gold = prosperity; before gold and diamonds were extracted during the slave trade. And sun, which gives everything life. Red (blood) bleeds into the green (vegetation) and gold (sun) helps the Ganja grow. These colors are commonly found on clothing and other decorations. The Lion of Judah Another form or symbol of Jah.

  9. Some more Rasta vocabulary: *Zion, refers to Ethiopia, paradise of Jah, or all of Africa the day after Judgment. It’s also a Rastafarian state of mind. *“upfulness” is a positive term for being helpful. “I” phrases: *“I and I” : the oneness of Jah and every human. Used in place of “you and I” or “we” to imply that both persons are united under The Love of Jah. *“Irie” refers to high emotions and feelings, peaceful vibrations. *I-talis derived from vital, their diet. The Rasta's reject “-isms”: see a wide range of “isms and schisms”.
