  3. Welded Sounds • Welded sounds are green sound cards. • The three letters have individual sounds, but they are welded together and difficult to separate • To tap this out, use three fingers tapping together at the same time.

  16. Syllables • Words have parts that go together called syllables. • A syllable is a word that can be pushed out in one breath. • Cat is one syllable • Catnip has two syllables
