Identify the language features of giving and asking suggestion. 4. Mention the expression of giving and asking suggestion and the responses based on the context. 5. Demonstrate the short dialogue of giving and asking suggestion.

  3. SOCIAL FUNCTION of SUGGESTION • To give suggestion to someone and give responses to the suggestion whether accepting or refusing it. • To help someone who needs any suggestion or advice by giving our personal idea and opinion in our daily life.

  4. Look at the situations below ! Your friend is getting sick.

  5. What will you suggest ? It’s raining.

  6. Read the short dialogue below !

Expression of Giving Suggestion • Why do not we watch a movie ? • Let’s go to the cinema • Let’s watch “Despicable Me 3” • Shall we have a drink ? • What about going to the new drink shop “Chatime”? • Let’s meet there at 7 p.m. Expression of Responding Suggestion • That’s sounds good. • OK. • Sure, that’s a good idea. • Great idea.

  10. EXERCISE Make a short dialogue with your partner based on the situation that you get!
