English Background • ♦Originally named Godric but overtime transitioned to Goodrich. • ♦Goodrich Castle resides in the village of Goodrich which is in south Herefordshire, England. • ♦I am a descendent of Godric Mappestone who built Goodrich Castle. • ♦The traditional music of the midlands mainly used fiddles, accordions, and sometimes even bagpipes. • ♦Music focused on ballads and ceremonial dance such as the Molly dance.
Scottish Background • ♦I am also a descendent of the MacDonald clan of Scotland. • ♦The MacDonald clan was one of the four main pipping clans. • ♦Scottish music is of course famous for its bagpipes. • ♦Bagpipes began as instruments for the military. • ♦They were used for marching and intimidation.
