Emergency notification system coming soon. • Unified Communications • The VoIP pilot is over, general availability release date is today, with over 1100 sets in production and several new features available. • Piloting Voicemail with integrated message access (phone or email) and targeting Fall ‘07 for user cutover. • Piloting secure Instant Messaging service with PennKey authentication. • Next Generation Email • Both Exchange and Pobox are now available with PDA integration and upenn.edu addressing.

Evaluating other possibilities with them. • CALEA • Worked with OGC and decided not to file, saving over $300k • Switched ISP vendors, doubling bandwidth at no additional costs • Customer Service • Remedy in place for data, voice and video trouble tickets • Service order integration project underway, with first generation demos available in August and launch in the Spring semester
NPTF & the Future • With the new funding model and eventually 80% of the cost being borne by headcount, we have a opportunity to focus on multi-year, strategic, infrastructure roadmaps and services. • What do you think NPTF should be? • If NPTF could be totally re-invented, what would it be? • Should we continue to have an NPTF?
Brainstorming for the Fall agenda • What should we focus on? • What are your priorities?
